What is the Scribe Society?
The Scribe Society is an online club that gives members the opportunity to find people to communicate with by writing and sending handwritten letters without having to divulge personal or sensitive information.

How does it work?
Once you have registered and chosen your subscription option you will receive your personalised welcome pack, including everything you need to send letters. Based on your chosen subscription you will be provided with Scribe Society Postage Notes that need to be included with each letter you send. You will be given access to the Scribe Society member profiles where you can search and select other members with which you want to correspond with. Other members can also find you so as soon as you are a member you could start receiving letters. I want to become a member, how do I join?
Go to our Subscriptions page and choose the most suitable one for you, and if you are fanatical about writing you may want to purchase additional Scribe Society Postage Notes at the same time. Once you have made your choice go through the checkout process. Within 2 weeks you will receive your personalised Welcome Pack with all the information you need to become a fully-fledged member of the Scribe Society.

Can I buy a Subscription as a gift?
Absolutely! Just check the box on the Subscription to say it's a gift, and when you go through the checkout process ensure you include the intended recipients full name and address in the shipping section (remember to use your own email for your receipt). You will then be able to complete a separate billing address.

What is a Scribe Society Postage Note?
Scribe Society Postage Notes (SSPN) are provided in your personalised welcome pack and are the key to the successful sending and receiving of letters. Each letter you send needs to include a SSPN which details the intended recipient of your letter. The number of SSPNs you receive is based on your subscription selection.

I live outside of the United Kingdom, can I still join?
Sadly not, we currently only operate in the United Kingdom.

Simply choose a subscription option and complete your membership profile.
